2 questions
1) when will the raven cyclocross tire be available
2) will I be able to go higher than 45# with the raven or one of the Hutchinson tubeless ready cyclocross tires the mounted to a converted rim??
(that is my one big issue with going tubeless I'm a big guy and my current tires feel rather squirrely at low(<45#) pressures)

We hope to have our Raven tire some time in September. It will be max 45psi. The Hutchinson cross tight might have a higher pressure max but im not sure.

I assume you haven't tested this yet based on your response, but will the Hutchinson "tubeless ready"cyclocross tires work with your road tubeless conversion kit or is the construction different then the Fusion road tubeless tire?

The main difference with a 34c tire and a 23c tire is the amount of side load on the tire and pressure inside the tire. So on most rims the cross tire will burp with just yellow tape. With a rubber rim strip the tire makes a better seal. Watch out burp test video.

Thanks for the quick response -- makes sense after reviewing some more info.

Any target weights on this tire? I'm using the 29er version of the Crow and am quite impressed.

I just read the latest issue of M.B.A. where they reviewed the Raven. From the review article, I assumed they were testing a mountain bike Raven tire as they said it is best paired with a Crow. "Raven up front, Crow in the rear for XC racing" is what they were suggesting.
Is this is a cyclocross only tire, or do you have versions coming out in mountain bike width (1.9/2.0) for the 26" and 29" crowd?
Thanks.

There will be a Cyclocross Raven 35x700 and a few different mountain bike models. Mountain bike action has a 2.0 Raven 26inch.

Can we expect pricing to be in line with the Crow tires (eg. about $45 for the 29" version)? If so, would the CX version be cheaper or about the same as mtb?

The final numbers are not in yet. But should be in line with our other tires 39-45.

I'm wondering if there are any updates on availability of the new Raven CX tires? Hoping to get things set up and tested for the season sooner than later.
Thanks!

"First we are going to call Stan at NoTubes and beg him to offer a 2.2 The Raven in the 29-inch size."
Good idea to beg you for a 29-2.2". Please make one!!
